About the Flip Image

Flipping mirrors a picture instead of turning it. A selfie camera saves text backwards, a design might need an arrow pointing the other way, or two product shots should face each other on a page. This tool mirrors a JPG, PNG or WebP image left-to-right, top-to-bottom, or both, at its original size and in its original format.

What you can do

• Press Flip horizontal to swap left and right.
• Press Flip vertical to swap top and bottom.
• Turn both on together, or press a button again to undo that flip.
• See which flips are active from the highlighted buttons and check the preview before saving.

When it works best

• Correcting a front-camera selfie where a shirt logo or sign reads backwards.
• Making a model or product face into the page rather than out of it.
• Creating a mirrored copy of an icon or illustration for a symmetrical layout.

Things to know

• Mirroring is done on a canvas in your browser; the image is not uploaded anywhere.
• Width and height stay the same and transparency in PNG and WebP is kept.
• Any text inside the picture is mirrored too, which is usually what makes a flip look wrong.
• Flipping both ways gives the same result as a 180° turn. For other angles, use Rotate Image.
